Therapeutic Yoga - Jules Payne, Yoga Therapist
Biography

Jules Payne is a Certified Professional Yoga Therapist and registered member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and the Yoga Alliance.  Jules is the Director of Ajna Yoga Teacher Training and has been training teachers since 2004.

In her teaching, Jules connects people with the therapeutic aspects of yoga - through movement, breath and meditation. Jules specializes in working with clients aged 50+ and with new yoga teachers.

In her yoga therapy practice, Jules works with other health professionals to create a personalized yoga practice, based on age, size, mobility and health concerns.

Jules’ group classes combine awareness of alignment, breath and a sense of play.  Jules teaches yoga for 50+, vinyasa flow, meditation retreats, chair yoga and classes for yoga teachers and advanced practioners. See list of Jules' classes

Her own training has been in Vijnana, Anusara, Ashtanga and Integrative Yoga Therapy.  Jules began practicing yoga with the idea that it would make her stronger. Yoga did help her strength, and it also helped her slow down to live a happier life. As she learned more about yoga, Jules discovered other therapeutic benefits that have helped her with a life-long struggle with insomnia and back pain from scoliosis. These varied discoveries inspired her to pursue an education in Yoga Therapy.
